AZ Max-for-Live Devices

AZ devices are a set of devices created specially for live audio input. This includes audio-following synthesizers, experimental delays and spectral freezing, a bit-crushing drone machine, granulators and various LFOs with midi triggering capabilities.

Some examples:

This is a playful delay that produces a Doppler-effect on live audio, and gives you the added option of sending out the Doppler pitches as MIDI to any instrument!

Spectral Calculator and Tuner

Enter an exact frequency in hz, or as a note name. If you are working on an orchestral piece, be sure you have the correct A reference (440, 441, etc.) Choose which partial/overtone you need to play. The display will tell you the frequency, name of that pitch and cent deviation. Push start and it will play the pitch for you!

Spectral Modulator

This works exactly as above, but if you need to modulate – give the new partial number and push “Apply”. The pitch will sound the same, but you see the fundamental frequency (top input box) and note name of the fundamental have changed.
